BAC Levels Soared as Katy Perry Roared During the Super Bowl


While football fans across the country had a pretty good time yesterday watching the big game (and averaging 0.057% BAC), BACtrack data now shows that drinking data roughly matches national sports loyalties and sentiments.

BACtrack data collected anonymously from almost 1,500 unique BAC tests showed that Seahawks fans outdrank Patriots fans with a higher average BAC. The Seattle contingent had an average of 0.084% BAC, whereas New England fans had an average BAC of only 0.065%. 

In addition, Seahawks fans' average BAC levels surged during the first half of the game, peaking shortly after the halftime show celebration at 0.116%, then quickly falling after their 24-28 loss to the Patriots. 

Understandably, Patriots fans celebrated their Super Bowl title, with an average BAC of 0.072% after the game, whereas Seahawks fans had only an average of 0.031% post-game.
